GREG AND TIM HILDEBRANDT : THE TOLKIEN YEARS
"Revisit the Magic of the Hildebrandt Brothers' Middle-Earth"
A lavishly illustrated book dedicated to the Tolkien paintings produced
by world renowned fantasy artists The Brothers Hildebrandt. The book
features 56 beautiful color epic fantasy paintings, supported by 97
sketches and 127 photographs. The sketches and photos pave the way in
the creative process, showing how each painting is created, and the
result is a stunning look inside how master painters achieve their
craft. The book is also filled with picture-by-picture commentary by
the Brothers Hildebrandt themselves, and includes diary-like text by
screenwriter and novelist Greg Hildebrandt Jr., offering an "insider's"
perspective on what many fantasy art lovers consider the high point of
Hildebrandt Brothers' lengthy, fulfilling career. Also known for their
album covers (Black Sabbath's Mob Rules plus a host of Sentinel Steel
label CD covers) and movie posters (Star Wars), I feel this is an
essential art book for those who love heavy metal album/CD covers
and/or the recent Lord of the Rings movie trilogy. A large 10.5" by
10.5" size, with 132 pages, this book also includes a pull out poster.
Factory sealed new.

METAL INDEX VOL I : A - AJ
Here it is, the start of the most ambitious metal book series ever
created! Famed metal journalist Edilson Pichiliani has started the
unthinkable: a definitive index series of every single metal band that
ever existed, from hard rock to black metal, plus their releases. This
is the first book of the series, and lists hundreds and hundreds of
bands that start with the letters A through AJ. Each band entry lists
the band name, the country of origin, the style of metal, the names of
the releases (including demos), the name of each title's label, the
year of release, and even (when possible) the list of song titles and
the names of the band members. This first volume sports 164 pages, is
6.25" x 9" in size, and features black and white text within. There is
some Portuguese text in the introduction of the book, but it's very
short and very clear to understand.
