says "The Italian based power metal band in the vein of Iced
Earth, Thy Majestie and early Stratovarius; with members of Thy
Majestie and Trinakrius. Palermo-based CRIMSONWIND were founded in
December 2008 by drummer Claudio Florio (TRINAKRIUS) and bass player
Niki Zummo. With THY MAJESTIE singer Alessio Taormina joining the ranks
they quickly found an appropriate frontman whose powerful voice works
perfectly with their blend of Melodic Power Metal. The LineUp was then
completed by Emanuele “Izzy” Bonura (guitars) and Claudio Di Girolamo
(keyboards). Bundling their experiences from the past, a
2-track-promo-single was quickly recorded and gained a lot of positive
feedback from the metal community. Motivated by the great reception of
their first vital sign CRIMSONWIND started working on songs
for their debut album „The Wings Of Salvation“. The album was recorded
from May to June 2010 in Dabliurec Studio (Palermo), supervised by
producer duo Dario Di Matteo & Simone Campione (THY MAJESTIE and
others). Lyrically the album deals with the feelings and reactions of a
man living in a dream world. Caught between past, present and future,
he is unable to distinguish between the three. Due to the painful loss
of his wife and living in torment he is in a constant dialogue with his
conscience, around which the lyrics are build. „The Wings Of Salvation“
is a brilliant and diverse Melodic Power album with a unique lyrical
concept that should appeal directly to fans of bands such as
STRATOVARIUS, ICED EARTH, GAMMA RAY, LABYRINTH and of course THY
MAJESTIE. From now on CRIMSONWIND will be a force to be reckoned with
when it comes to first class Melodic Metal Made in Italy, well arranged
and extremely catchy. „The Wings Of Salvation“, will be released on
March 25th 2011 via Ice Warrior Records as a special limited edition
containing 2 bonus tracks."

Franko says "Tommy Vitaly was born on May 3, 1974 in Florence, Italy.
He started playing guitar at the age of 15. His early influences were
bands like Iron Maiden and Metallica. A few years later Tommy
started studying the styles of the greatest rock and metal guitar
players like Steve Vai, Joe Satriani and his favourite musician, Yngwie
J. Malmsteen. Besides rock music Tommy studied classical music. He
plays piano since he was 7 years old and also plays clarinet. He works
as a private guitar teacher nowardays and besides playing his original
music, Tommy also plays in a Helloween-tribute-band called MR. EAGLE.
So far he has relased 2 albums with his Power Metal band SEVEN GATES
