ANUBIS GATE Andromeda Unchained
Euro melodic
power metal band that should appeal to fans of the band Mob Rules,
maybe with a slightly more progressive edge. Compared by their label to
bands like Queensryche, Crimson Glory, Fates Warning and Savatage, but
with a European sensibility. "Originally formed in 2001, the Danish
band ANUBIS GATE established themselves as a constant Heavy Metal force
within the international music scene. After their first records
“Purification” (2004) and “A Perfect Forever” (2005), the band
completed their 3rd epos “Andromeda Unchained” in 2007. The very mature
sounding record links the bands past musical efforts with a more
clinical and modern edge. Stylistically Anubis Gate is conglomeration
of the classic 80's heavy metal, a more epic 90's ambience and mixed
with a modern dark progressiveness, cool riffing, and a clear and
powerful vocal performance. Musical inspirations for Anubis Gate are
such acts as Queensryche, Iron Maiden, Crimson Glory, Fates Warning and
Savatage, although it's important to stress that the band really
doesn't sound like anyone else."

ASTRAL DOORS New Revelation
“In early 2002,
Swedish guitarist Joachim Nordlund and drummer Johan Lindstedt teamed
up and decided to write some metal songs in the spirit of the old
heroes Rainbow, Dio, Sabbath and Deep Purple. Nils Patrik Johansson, an
old time friend with Johan, was asked to do the vocals in the project.
Nils Patrik accepted the offer and ASTRAL DOORS was almost a reality.
Joachim asked his former band-mate Jocke Roberg, if he wanted to join,
and a handshake later the band had a keyboarder. Martin Haglund from
“Universal Puppies” was asked to fill in on the bass. However, in early
2003 Martin moved onto the guitar, to provide the band with a real dual
guitar attack sound, and into the line-up came Mika Itaranta as bass
player. ASTRAL DOORS was born…After the very successful, 2 month long
tour with Blind Guardian in
2006, Astral Doors immediately started writing new material for the
fourth album. Astral Doors will always stand with both feet in the
classic hardrock, but this time around they decided to bring more
elements, moods and variations to the classic Astral Sound. Not many
albums are worthy to be called masterpieces, but "New Revelation" will
put Astral Doors right up there with the legends. This is the album
that will unite fans of bands like Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Blind
Guardian, Accept under the same flag: This is "New Revelation".”

"Markus Grosskopf has been a busy man for more than twenty years and he
is an even busier man now. The bass player of Germany’s melodic metal
legend HELLOWEEN has just released the 12th studio album called
“Gambling With The Devil” with his band and is preparing for yet
another extensive world tour with one of the most successful metal acts
of the present. And Grosskopf has one more ace up his sleeve: it is
called Markus Grosskopf’s Bassinvaders and it shows a completely new
side of his musical talent. Bassinvaders has been a creation of Markus
while sitting in a bar and enjoying a few drinks. There it was that he
got inspired to an impressive idea: a heavy rock record without any
guitars at all. To push it even further Markus invited a few of his
bass heroes to play solos on some of the tracks. When he started
searching for support making this album excellent he expected to get a

(Mother’s Finest), Dirk Schlächter (Gamma Ray), Joey Vera (Armored
Saint, Fates Warning, ex-Anthrax), Stig Pedersen (D.A.D), Nibbs
(Saxon), Tobias Exxel (Edguy), Jens Becker (Grave Digger, ex-Running
Wild), Dennis Ward (Pink Cream 69), Peter Baltes (Accept), Jan S.
Eckert (Masterplan) and Michael Müller (Jaded Heart). Markus has
also invited some guest singers for the songs he wrote: Apollo
Papathanasio (Firewind, Time Requiem, Evil Masquerade, Majestic) and
the frontman of the legendary Danish stadium rock band D.A.D – Jesper
Binzer. While the guest drummers are André Hilgers (Rage, Axxis,
Silent Force) and Stefan Arnold (Grave Digger). This guest list and the
killer line-up make the first Bassinvaders-album something very special
but it’s not only about the name dropping. Songs like Boiling Blood, We
Live, Voices, Razorblade Romance, Armageddon or the storming
Bassinvaders version of the classic Helloween anthem Eagle Fly Free are
proving that Markus’ late night idea won’t be just a one-off slap, but
the foundation for another “battlefield” for the always smiling
