morphed into Battle Cry Records. The IG label co-owner had left over
stock and offered it to us at a close-out price, which we'd like to

ATTACKER Soul Taker
3rd CD featuring original members Mike Sabatini (drums), Pat Marinelli
(guitar) and Bob Mitchell (vocals) plus Mike Benetatos (guitar,
exJersey Dogs and briefly with Sleepy Hollow) and Felix Torres (bass).
Original bass player Lou Ciarlo contributes to the songwriting.
Speaking of songwriting, 'Soul Taker' is an exact blend of 1985's
'Battle At Helm's Deep' and 1988's 'Second Coming'. Even the production
is somewhere in between, lending 'Soul Taker' an 1980s traditional
power metal flair whether the band intended to or not (funny how these
things work out just right). The songwriting ranges from sweet Iron
Maiden-like guitar riffs and bass lines to Judas Priest/Acceptish
straightforward power metal anthems. These reunions can be hit or miss
but this band has their abilities up to grade and singer Mitchell can
still sing exquisitely while letting loose his trademarked screeches to
show that he's still got the voice. A comeback CD that was 15 years in

SOLITAIRE Rising to the Challenge
Described in reviews as sounding like Agent Steel, but with an
underground production. The truth is, if there is any resemblance to my
heroes Agent Steel, it is in the faster-than-the-speed-of-light
songwriting, which remotely resembles the roller coaster ride known as
'Skeptics Apocalypse'. Solitaire are a bit cruder in comparison, with
lightning fast traditional speed metal songs that also resemble Exciter
and possible early Razor (though Solitaire are more melodic). The
production does sound like 1984, very true, and fits the musical style
of the band. Solitaire, despite their minor drawbacks, are quite
infectious with their unbridled enthusiasm for melodic speed metal, and
some of these songs show a ton of promise for their second CD. A band
to watch for.

STIKKI FYKK Fazt Carz an Rock N Roll Starz
"Nasty Dirty Glam Thrash Rock from Germany. their claim to the name
Unholy Pink Metal has an original sound of Thrash metal and Glam mixed
together. STIKKI FYKK was formed in 1996 by Dr.Vinnie Stikk (Andreas
Preisig, owner of Battle Cry Records/ former owner of Iron Glory
Records). Jean Dupont (Jens Sonnenberg of Sacred Steel / Cavillator
/Baphomet), Tigerslide (Rouven Thalhammer from Cavillator) and Bigg
Trigg (Oliver Hill of Cavillator) as a fun project which STIKKI FYKK
still is. Later in 1996 Eren Eraslan (Baron Carloz, guitarist for
german Thrash Metal Band STORMRIDER) joined the Band as their Drummer.
STIKKI FYKK signed a record contract with B.O. Records (Last Episode)
in 1999 and recorded their first album " Fazt Carz An' Rock N Roll
Starz" at Basement Studios in Essen, Germany in December 1999."
