ANCIENT CREATION Moonlight Monument
Jeremy says "The Midwestern band is heavy metal in its purest form,
with no concern for being modern or trendy. The only goals are to push
the limits of their ability and create great progressive old school
power metal that combines elements of power metal, complex song
arrangements, aggressive drums, and powerful vocals. Since the band’s
formation in 2003 Ancient Creation have continued to grow as a band
both musically and in reputation as one of the most promising upcoming
U.S. power metal outfits. With the release of their 2007 “Evolution
Bound” on Melissa Records, Ancient Creation began to create a buzz that
got even louder heard aboard. Several glowing reviews would soon
follow as anticipation for a follow up grew. In early 2011 Heaven and
Hell Records will be releasing Ancient Creation’s newest album,
“Moonlight Monument”. The album was recorded at Studio City in Kansas
City, Missouri and mixed & produced by Adam Lichtengaur and Ancient
Creation. Mastering was provided by Gary Long (King Diamond, Solitude
Aeturnus) at Nomad Recording Studio in Texas. “Moonlight Monument” is
sure to please those waiting for a second release from Ancient Creation
as well to capture new fans seeking the finest in U.S. power metal."

CORE DEVICE What I've Become
Jeremy says "Heaven and Hell Records are happy to announce the addition
of New Jersey’s best kept secret Core Device. The high energy
progressive power metal outfit formed in the late 90s and released
their first demo ‘Raped’ in 1997. The following year the self released
‘God and Man’ EP was met with great response and word began to spread
quickly amongst the metal community worldwide. A second three song demo
would be released in 2004. By this time a good buzz was heard all
throughout the metal underground. In 2004 Core Device self released
their debut full length ‘Our Fellowship Eternal’, produced by Symphony
X guitarist Michael Romeo. The release was met with overwhelming
response by fans and label interest began to peak. To support the
release extensive gigging through the U.S., Canada, and even a self
financed tour in Japan followed. An amazing number of units sold for an
independent metal band. Over the next couple of years Core Device would
prove they would do whatever took to achieve their desired outcome. As
anticipation for a follow up began to build, mainly in Europe and Japan
the band returned home to begin recording their long awaited sophomore
effort ‘What I’ve Become’. In early 2011 Heaven and Hell Records will
release CD version of Core Device ‘What I’ve Become’.

OVERLORD Back Into the Dragon's Lair
Jeremy says "In the cold Ontario winter of ’83 Overlord came to be,
formed by delinquent school chums, bassist Branko Zugaj and guitarist
Mark Platt. After receiving their grade 12 the two would separate only
to meet back up by chance in a martial arts club. There they would
decide to form a band and the search for players was on. A vocalist and
drummer were recruited but did not last long leaving the duo to bring
in session players Dario Rubini on drums and vocalist Colin Wilkinson,
who joined the band in the studio to record their 1985 four-song
self-titled EP. Once the EP was released copies were madly submitted to
press and labels worldwide in hopes to land a deal. Landing a deal
would prove difficult for a number of reasons, but despite it all
interest was gained by press and labels such as Ebony and Combat
Records. Sadly nothing would materialize. In the fall of 1988 Zugaj and
Platt recruited full time vocalist Jim Feeney. The search for a
permanent drummer proved more difficult, so the band had to rely on a
session musician once again. With Juno award winning engineer Stu Young
(famous for working with Prince) and Mike Levine of Triumph they
created their most progressive EP to date. Finally in 1993, the band
found their drummer in Barry White. Overlord had at long last built a
permanent lineup, which proved to be their strongest lineup to date.
Back to Metalworks they went, this time with famed producer John Punter
(of Roxy Music) and engineer Mark Peters to record the EP ‘The Open
Eye’. After a decade Branko, one of the founding members, would leave
the band in ’93, a month before the remaining members would call it
quits. Fast forward to 2001, when interest in the band resurfaced in a
place they hadn’t previously thought of tapping into. European fans
were quite interested in Overlord, whose music had somehow surfaced in
Europe. Fans were clamoring for the vinyl self-titled EP and paying
outrageous amounts of money for a copy. This led to bootlegs, rave
reviews and the development of a large cult following. A brief reunion
would be inspired by the new found interest. After one more recording
session the members went their separate ways putting an end to the
Overlord of the past. For fans of: Manilla Road, Brocas Helm, Cirith
Ungol, and Blue Oyster Cult."

RITUAL The Ancient Tome
Jeremy says "Formed in Livingston, New Jersey by singer Billy Farley
and guitarist Judson Legon in the early part of the (1980s), Ritual
would become one of the area’s most popular bands by the end of the
decade. Farley and Legon had previously played together in local bands
Black Sheep and Final Plea before forming Ritual. By the end of ’85 a
four-song demo was released and soon radio stations in the area began
to play cuts from the recording. Just as fast as requests poured into
one radio station, other stations started to play the demo. Future
‘That Metal Show’ host Eddie Trunk, then working at WDHA 105.5FM said
of the band: “Ritual are one of the most promising bands to come out of
New Jersey.” The time was right for a full length release. Without any
label support the band entered All Star Studio in Bloomfield, NJ with
producer Brian Bannon & J. Vicari to record the 1987 debut
‘L.T.M.P. ‘(Let the Metal Play). The independent seven song release was
presented under a simplistic and “to the point” cover designed by now
famous tattooist Paul Booth. L.T.M.P was well received and attention
continued to grow. To support the album, Ritual undertook a relentless
touring schedule, traveling up and down the East Coast. The band shared
the stage with everyone from hard rock acts like Cinderella and White
Lion to metal bands like Fates Warning, TT Quick, King Diamond and
Accept. As Ritual continued to tour, buzz began to spread about their
high-energy live performances. Soon friend Zakk Wylde would bring
the band to the attention of manager Mark Weiss. Weiss, who had been
responsible for introducing Zakk to Ozzy Osbourne as well as Sebastian
Bach to Skid Row, saw great potential in the Jersey band to become a
“major force” in the current rock scene. No longer was Ritual just a
group of circuit riders. Radio stations across the country began to
play the title track. Album cuts even began to make the airwaves abroad
in the U.K. and Holland. Plenty of media coverage would follow from
RIP, Metal Rendevous, Metal America, Network, Blitz (UK), Burnn!
(Japan), and even Rolling Stone. All the while fan mail from around the
world kept coming in. Ritual returned to the studio in 1989 to record a
follow up to L.T.M.P. Due to studio shifts and personnel changes the
planned full length was divided up into a pair of EPs. The first was
the four-song ‘Evil in Your Heart’ EP recorded at Waterfront Studios.
Sessions where then moved to an at the time “secret location” to finish
the tracks for the second EP ‘Dark Star’. Later that location would be
revealed to be NBC Studios and Saturday Night Live soundstage. Once
again Ritual was rewarded with high praise from fans and press
worldwide, yet strangely enough label attention seemed to lack. Ritual
was not discouraged by this, as they seemed to be making their own way.
But how far could it go without label support? Farley was undeterred by
this and continued Ritual, despite line-up changes more recordings
would be produced. In the coming years a lot of interest for Ritual
recordings would come from collectors, which helped keep the name
alive. For fans of: Killer Dwarfs, Quiet Riot, Ratt, and Motley Crue."

SEVENTH CALLING Prelude to
Madness EP
3 tracks plus enhanced material, video clip, label mp3 sampler, more.
Jeremy says "Seventh Calling is a 100% heavy metal band that has many
influences from which it draws its strength. Judas Priest, Iron Maiden,
Metal Church, Slayer, Testament, Grim Reaper, Nevermore, Wolf, Dream
Evil, and so on. Seventh Calling is able to deliver a high energy live
performance that pushes them above many of the other bands that are out
there today. Solid vocals, twists on dual guitar attacks, a very solid,
rhythm section, are just parts of what creates Seventh Calling's modern
heavy metal that has its classic traits present in all aspects. In 2007
the band released its debut album entitled “Monuments” through the
Netherlands based record label Melissa Records to great reviews and a
widening fan base. This time period also pushed the band continue it’s
pursuit of the live aspect. Seventh Calling is continuing to write for
its new album to see the light of day at the end of 2009 and to
continue its live assault. Seventh Calling promises to deliver to the
fans, the complete best in Heavy Metal!"

SEVENTH CALLING Epidemic
Jeremy says "Originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota, the band built a
name for themselves through Midwest tour dates and their 2007 album
Monuments on Melissa Records. Last year the core of the band, Steve
Handel and guitarist Alex Ritchey relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada to
team up with Avenger of Blood drummer Shannon Frye to complete the
‘Prelude to Madness’ EP, issued late 2009 by Heaven and Hell Records.
The band’s debut for the label has been met with rave reviews worldwide
as anticipation grows for their second full length. With the addition
of Marc Flores, also of Avenger of Blood, on bass the band entered at
Sound Vision Studios of Las Vegas, NV on Feb. 15th with
producer/engineer, Lance Swain. This will be the second time that the
group has done work with Lance, who also did work with the band on
their video 'Blood of the Divine' taken from the band's EP release
'Prelude to Madness’. "The new material is more aggressive than past
efforts, and all of us involved, feel that this music is much more
matured. And to be working with Lance Swain again on this project will
be great!" - guitar/vocalist Steve Handel. In addition to the
rapid progress in the past few months and the signing with industry
veteran Marco Barbieri’s Salem Rose Music Publishing, Seventh Calling
have steadily maintained a presence on the live music circuit all over
the U.S. since their appearance at the Kansas City Power Metal Festival
in 2009."

WITCHES MARK A Grim Apparition
EP
5 tracks plus enhanced material bonus
Jeremy says "For the past 30 years Texas has well been known for
producing pure quality heavy bands; S.A. Slayer, Aska, Helstar, and
even Pantera (Power Metal era). New comers Witches Mark show that the
Lone Star state is upholding its reputation. Formed in late 2005; the
six piece of metal traditionalist Witches Mark consist of current and
former members of underground cult metal favorites Reverend, Ancient
Cross, Hammerwhore, and Of the Fallen. With a sound similar to cult
classics like Liege Lord, Omen, Griffin, and Blacksmith Witches Mark
will take you back to those glorious days of Metal Massacres when heavy
metal was pure and unadulterated. The band’s recording debut appeared
on the Unbroken Metal’s tribute to N.W.O.B.H.M. heroes Angel Witch with
a rendition of “Something Wrong”. Now at last they are ready to unleash
the debut EP this fall with plans to follow up soon after with a full
length."
