GATE Earth Cathedral
Franko says "In October 2009, Preacher, former guitarist of the first legendary
RUNNING WILD Line – Up, and Guido, met again at the Swordbrothers
Festival in Guidos hometown Andernach, Germany. Guido was the singer of
the THE COMPANY in the 90's and the first years of the new century,
where he made three CDs which were a big success in Japan, Netherlands
and France. Preacher saw some of their shows in the 90's and soon
became a friend of the band.
After their reunion they met again at Guidos home. Soon they noticed
that they were on the same wavelength and they decided to form THE
GATE: Playing Metal to play Metal with their tradition and in their
true beliefs!
With Tino, the former bass player of the Metal Underground Masterpiece
INSOLENCE, and Peter “Unruh” Michels on the drums, they found the right
men to start their band. Peter played in many bands like ONE SIGN OF
METAL and the Cologne Hardrockers UNDERDOG that had some great releases
in the 80's.
In the first few months they worked on their material and in the summer
of 2010 they entered the BIG EASY STUDIO near Hennef, Germany. Together
with their Producer Michael “Freio” Haas they recorded five tracks. It
didn't take long before the first offers of interested labels came in.
THE GATE decided to sign with ROCK IT UP RECORDS. By the Way: The old fans of RUNNING WILD will find the remastered
version of Preachers demo song "Deliver from Sin" on the debut CD -
finally an official publication of the number." Line-up:
