And yet another European metal label closes its
doors....this fine label, based in Italy, had bands from all over the
world; it started out as a progressive label, dabbled in deluxe tribute
CDs and hard rock titles, before finding its niche in power metal
releases. Despite some excellent titles, the metal marketplace became
oversatured and one of the Adrenaline/Steelheart partners lost
his heart (no pun intended) so the label was folded, with Heart of
Steel Records rising from its ashes. Grab these Adrenaline/Steelheart
titles while you can -- nearly all of them were limited to 1000 copies
(some of the later titles as low as 500 copies!).

BLACK STEEL Destructor + bonus video track
Strong full length follow-up to their much admired debut ep. Here we
have 10 completely new songs (no overlap with the ep) in the
traditional power metal stylings of Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and
Manowar. I like the catchy songwriting and the Harris/DeMaio style
driving bass lines. The singer is a bit tentative but everything comes
together during the choruses. Not as fast as fellow Aussies Dungeon,
nor as inventive as locals Ilium, and not as tight as international
heroes Pegazus, but Black Steel's 'Destructor' makes a fine addition to
the surging New Wave of Australian Power Metal scene. New European
pressing, which features new artwork and packaging.
