BLACK HOLE Land Of Mystery
Tim says "Italy gave birth to the genres of Horror Movies and Horror Metal. If
BLACK SABBATH and GOBLIN gave birth to a band, this band would be it.
This is a very raw/flawed recording, very atmospheric with its 70's
style synthesizer, haunting vocals (sung in English, but with a heavy
Italian accent), and hypnotic riffs. It's off beat in nature, but if
you want dark, as darker than the word black, this recording is not to
be missed. "Land Of Mystery" was ahead of its time and the holy grail

Their label states "Multinational Melodic Metallers EDEN`S CURSE return
with their brand new studio album; produced once again by the band's
long term engineer Dennis Ward (Krokus, Angra, Allen & Lande, Pink
Cream 69), “Trinity” picks up where “The Second Coming” left off, but
with a certain added je ne sais quoi. Packed with all their traditional
trademarks, “Trinity” is arguably the most powerful sounding EDEN`S
CURSE record to date. From Thorsten Koehne’s wall of razor sharp
guitars, to Messrs Logue and Newdeck’s pounding rhythm section, Dennis
Ward’s sublime production has allowed these songs to explode from the
speakers in a sonic assault wrapped around the instantly recognisable
sound of Michael Eden’s powerful yet crystalline vocals. “Trinity” also
marks the bands recorded debut with new keyboard player Alessandro Del
Vecchio (Glenn Hughes / Ian Paice / Edge Of Forever / Moonstone
Project) whose contemporary approach to the keyboards harks at hints of
Kamelot thanks to the huge orchestral passages throughout, yet never
detracts from the signature EDEN`S CURSE sound. As has become
accustomed with each EDEN`S CURSE release the band have once again
recruited some outstanding guest vocalists to collaborate alongside,
and this time they have truly outdone themselves. Duetting with Eden on
the epic Melodic Metal anthem “No Holy Man” is none other than Dream
Theater vocalist James LaBrie. Also contributing backing vocals to the
whole album LaBrie enthused: “In 2010 I was fortunate to discover
Eden's Curse. I absolutely love this band. Great players and people and
they deserve nothing but huge success! They belong with the best of
today's music. Trust me, you're going to love this from beginning to
end ". Elsewhere Andi Deris of Helloween duets on the bruising “Black
Widow” which is the bandīs heaviest track to date, somehow managing to
marry power and melody perfectly. Other notable tracks are the albumīs
hook laden opener and title track “Trinity”, the contemporary “Saints
Of Tomorrow”, the tear jerking stadium ballad “Guardian Angel”, the
melodic rock gem “Rivers Of Destiny”, the epic “Children Of The Tide”
and the bruising “Jerusalem Sleeps”. The band also closes the album
with a recorded tribute to one of their idols, the late Ronnie James
Dio, with their fabulous rendition of “Rock ‘N’ Roll Children”.
“Trinity” is a classy affair that sees EDEN`S CURSE once again take
steps forward and cements their place alongside many of their
contemporaries in todayīs European Melodic Metal scene. After two
successful and extremely well received albums (debut “Edenīs Curse”
from 2007 and the sophomore “The Second Coming” which was released in

Tim says "After 30 years of playing the very best Heavy Metal around,
you'd think Manilla Road would finally slow up and write a bad album by
now, right? After all these years they have yet to write something bad!
And on top of not writing anything bad, Manilla Road always trys to
re-invent themselves with every album they create. This album is no
different. Seriously, when you hear this, you'll think Mark "The Shark"
has written his thick-est and fat-est riffs to date. I mean really,
this stuff sounds like Candlemass trying to write a Manilla Road album,
or for you know-it-all Manilla Road fans, this is more along the lines
of "Hammer Of The Witches" type riff oriented songs throughout the
whole album. I'm completely surprised with the direction of this album.
I wouldn't call it a Doom Metal album, but it has some really Doom-y
